Quick facts
Race/Class: Blonde elf sorceress · Old party: Bran’s Old Adventuring Party · Status: Alive, last seen going out to fight the VTC (as of C2 Session 83)
Elara Sunshadow is a sorceress and a member of Bran’s Old Adventuring Party, lost years ago at the Obsidian Spire and presumed dead. The FAM freed her from a vat in Coghaven without knowing who she was.
History
Elara went with Bran, Sylas Riverstride and Victor Blackwood to the Obsidian Spire, a dungeon said to hold something that could rewrite fate. In the fight against the spectral wraith that guarded its heart, Bran and Sylas ended up on opposite sides of a chasm with Elara caught in the middle. Bran hesitated, and she was lost. Both men loved her.
How she came to be in Coghaven is unknown. When the party destroyed Dr. Wheelo and freed the vat survivors who weren’t marked “expired” (Session 79), she was among them.
In Session 83, the party found Bran on his knees in the Mercenary’s Rest, crying into her waist. They recognized her from the vats, and she thanked the Fellowship for her life. Sylas stepped out of a tree in the tavern and embraced her. When VTC forces surrounded the inn minutes later, she went out with Bran’s old companions to fight them.
