Name
Wilbur printed 500 flyers exposing Tobias Blackwood and signed them “The Fellowship Against the Machine.” Captain Stormshield later threw a signed copy back in his face. The name stuck, shortened to “the FAM” or “the Fellowship.” When the party entered the Breadstock battle of the bands in Buttermere they played as “The FAM Band” and placed third.

History
- The Saline Coast (Sessions 1–32): The party investigated the escaped zoo wolves, the murder of Isabella Thorne and the smoke-bomb attack on Cedric Lightharbor, broke Tobias Bigsby out of prison, rescued the poisoned Mayor Windrider and fled the city as fugitives. They killed the Bloodhowler at the Warhorde Clan camp, returned to expose Tobias Blackwood, and were pardoned at the closing ceremonies. When Blackwood killed Wilbur, the rest went into The In-Between to bring him back.
- At sea (Sessions 33–43): Hunting Khalor the Dreamreaper for Arghen, they took Kellem Stormforge’s ship, hired Captain Teft’s union crew, and became VTC fugitives after Escher’s assassination of Kenton Rusk.
- Green Hollow (Sessions 44–58): They went to Green Hollow to help Kip’s family, broke up Sawyer Elmheart’s cult of Brandoboris, killed Judge Marius Vellum, ended Kip’s forced marriage and fought the VTC at the Valedriss estate, where Nelda’s father died.
- North City (Sessions 59–71): They crossed The Underdark to North City for The Cell Games, fought alongside The Cacklers against the rampaging Ozaroo and The Whisper, and learned the VTC was tracking them with Asset Songbird. When Escher confessed that he and Fable were marked by the Pale Fang, the FAM refused his offer to leave and made his survival their top priority.
- Coghaven (Sessions 72–80): They helped the Black Parade free Coghaven, rescued Cabba, freed Masha and boarded their ship, now the first airship not powered by magic.
- The gallows (Sessions 81–83): They returned to the Saline Coast to save Catman from execution, fought Khalor and Daask Bruiser, lost Arghen to the dragon, and fled as the VTC surrounded the Mercenary’s Rest while Bran and his old companions held the door.

The VTC’s view
At a VTC strategy meeting, Mia’s father refused to arrest Escher alone, because seizing him would scatter “the other five” across Arlia. He wanted the Fellowship erased as a problem for the company. Catman warned the VTC’s prosecutor that the Fellowship was “resourceful, cunning, and crazy as hell.”
