The Free Pour is a covert resistance against the Velvet Truffle Company on Beerlia, which the VTC counts as part of Seraphina Rusk’s Islands Dominion. It was founded by Masha.

The Free Pour works alongside local families who refuse to sell to the VTC, despite the company’s efforts to force them out.
- The Reverie Family: Barley farmers and spring-water collectors. Aria Reverie’s word as a whiskey taster moves the market and can’t be bought. Lyra Reverie’s “hypothetically” is behind many of the Free Pour’s cleverest tricks.
- The Ashby family: Independent boat captains who run cargo between Beerlia, Winealia and Liquoria without paying VTC tariffs. The VTC calls it smuggling; the Ashbys call it the way their grandparents did it. They move the Free Pour’s people and supplies around company ports. Keira Ashby, captain of a small, fast cutter, is blunt, reckless on the water and dead calm in a fight. She sailed Masha’s team out to the VTC ship the night it burned.
- The Dunlevy family: Hops growers who run the busiest beer hall in their town. Truffle Guard patrols drink there because it’s the best pour on the island, never knowing the Dunlevys are listening. The hall is the Free Pour’s meeting place and rumor mill. Maeve Dunlevy runs it and remembers every Truffle Guard she has served, down to their name, rank and what they complain about after a third drink.
History
Masha was captured in early Fessuran during a Free Pour operation in which a VTC ship was set on fire. She had trouble getting out and was taken, ending up in a vat in Coghaven until The FAM freed her in Session 78. She does not know what happened to her crew and joined the FAM until she can find out (Session 80).
