Quick facts
Type: School and the Cacklers’ headquarters · Location: North City · Full name: Cacklers Academy for Gifted Students (CAGS) · Headmasters: Terra Misu Umber and Sophie Umber · Run by: The Cacklers · Status: Open (as of C2 Session 83)
CAGS, the Cacklers Academy for Gifted Students (often just “the Academy”), is the Cacklers’ school in North City. It also holds their war room and their private collection of valuables.
Background
At the end of Campaign 1, Terra asked Sophie what she should do with her life if she wasn’t fighting anything. Sophie convinced her to be better at building something than destroying something, and the two settled on turning the Collector’s Mansion into a school (C1 Chapter 14).
In Campaign 1.5
Twenty years after Campaign 1, Terra and Sophie were the school’s headmasters. Terra was busy with school business when the Cacklers went after Perfect Cell (C1.5 Chapter 02). At The Cell Games, Jimmy Firecracker introduced both of them as “CAGS headmaster,” and introduced Ruby as educated “right here at Cacklers Academy for Gifted Students” (C1.5 Chapter 03).
In Campaign 2
Nelda studied abroad at CAGS, and her former classmates there formed the adventuring group Bitch Perfect (Session 61).
Escher was caught trying to steal a “gleaming orb” from the Cacklers’ private collection. Terra beat him down and dragged him into the Cacklers’ war room, where Ruby’s zone of truth forced him to talk (Session 63).
The FAM was then summoned to the Academy. The Cacklers told them that five of the seven Star Orbs had been stolen around the world. Bulma suggested Escher enroll as a student at the Academy under Oolong’s supervision to give his talents some direction (Session 64).
While the city fought the Ozaroo rampage, The Whisper broke into Sophie’s private quarters and tried to get past the security dials on the collection. He nearly killed Reese before Sophie and Belle Pepper killed him inside the Academy (Session 65, 66). Sophie and Terra teleported from the Academy war room to the Cackler Barrel when Bulma was attacked (Session 67).
Escher arranged a probationary enrollment for his brother, Fable (Session 68), and the FAM agreed Fable would be safest there once the Pale Fang turned on them (Session 70). A Velvet Truffle Company memo read aloud in Session 71 noted that the Mistress’s standing directive forbade any company operation against the Cacklers, their households, their academy, or their affiliates.
