Quick facts

Party: The Cacklers · Set: about twenty years after Campaign 1 · Main villain: Perfect Cell · Ends with: The Cell Games and a wish on the Star Orbs · Preceded by: Campaign 1 · Followed by: Campaign 2

Campaign 1.5 brought The Cacklers back about twenty years after they ended the Rose Ribbon Army. Dr. Gero returned for revenge, and his last creation, Perfect Cell, challenged the whole world to the Cell Games. It is the story behind the radio broadcast The FAM heard in C2 Session 56 and the result reported in C2 Session 70.

Premise

Twenty years on, the Cacklers were rich and mostly settled. Bulma had set them up with retirement accounts full of stock options, and the Cackler Barrel had become a worldwide phenomenon. Terra and Sophie ran the Cacklers Academy for Gifted Students (CAGS). Juliette and Will were still together, and their daughter Ruby had grown up and was fighting alongside her mother’s old friends.

Then Dr. Gero and Android 19 attacked North City, and Ginger Town in the Crepe Republic went silent.

The party

Satchel, from Barqs’ old crew, was around too, hard of hearing “from explosions.” Reese dropped by Juliette’s home now and then. See C1 Minor Characters.

  2. Perfect Cell: the creature in the alley, the hunt for 17 and 18 in the Tabasco Forest, Perfect Cell’s song, and the broadcast announcing the Cell Games.

How it ended

At the North City Coliseum, Cell spawned seven Cell Juniors, turned invisible and rained meteors on the arena, and killed Master Toshi. Ruby asked The Trickster for a wish to heal everyone, and he granted it on the condition that she come with him at once; she vanished from the battlefield. Belle Pepper’s lightning blew Cell apart, he reformed, Terra cut him down, and Elyon’s kienzan carved up every atom of his body so he could not come back.

When the Games were over, Belle Pepper popped off the battlefield. She and Ruby had been summoned by their gods to serve as representatives in a civil war among the deities, The War in the Heavens: Ruby through the Trickster’s bargain, Belle by her own god. Oolong popped off the battlefield too, and has not returned. Terra, Sophie, Greene and Elyon were left standing.

Afterward the Cacklers summoned the dragon with the Star Orbs and wished to restore the lives of everyone Cell had killed and absorbed. Master Toshi, 17 and 18, and the people of Ginger Town and the other absorbed towns all came back. See Open Mysteries.
