Quick facts

The Cacklers rescued Terra Misu from the FeyWild, married her to Sophie, and stormed Muscle Tower for the last Star Orb. Commander Red turned out to be Isidar the Conqueror. Shenlong’s wish undid the Rose Ribbon Army’s killing, and the party went their separate ways.

Where the hell is my fiancée

The party was trying to find Terra Misu Umber with a divination ritual when Sophie burst into Bulma’s workshop. “Where the hell is my fiance.” The Cacklers admitted “some of us died and had to get brought back to life,” and Oolong added, “That one is on me. I forgot you existed.”

The ritual pointed to the FeyWild. Elyon, teleporting back onto the Rootbeer Float invisible, terrified a deckhand (“My ex-wife. Clara. You already took the kids. What more do you want?”). Oolong finished his robbery by turning Jasmine into a rhinoceros inside a shop still “plyboarded up from the last time a rhinoceros got in here,” and looted rings and five senzu beans. Then the party stepped through a painting into the FeyWild.

The crystal tyrant

Sophie saw the ancient tree where she and Terra used to sit and burst into tears. Her message to Terra came back as static. Oolong reached his sister, Tala: “It is so good to hear from you. It has been so long.” Far more time had passed for her than for them. “Terra’s going to be an old maid,” Sophie said.

The Uknekian people were on the run, attacked for months by crystal-like beings. Crystals were jutting from the ground and sprouting from tree limbs like fruit. At the Uknekian temple, now a mass of glittering crystal, a voice boomed: “I have finally taken my rightful place over this kingdom. You will not interfere with my grand design.”

The crystal behemoth’s first blast nearly flattened the party. When it cracked, Sophie glimpsed a dwarf-shaped figure inside. She was knocked down, Greene and Oolong fell, and Sophie made one last plea: “Terra, fight it. We’re your friends. Fight against this thing. We’re here to get you out.” The creature charged, stopped, and shattered as an axe sliced outward. Terra stepped out, completely drained. She was only there because she had heard Sophie’s voice.

The wedding

Out of the FeyWild, Terra wouldn’t wait. “I don’t want to die without being married to you. So, let’s just get married.” Oolong, also going by his true name, Tobi, appointed himself director of the ceremony, then panicked: “Wait, don’t I have to pay for the wedding now?” Elyon gave the couple a magical book. Terra’s father turned up to congratulate her, though Terra reminded everyone he was the man who told her “fiance to get sold into slavery.”

In her vows, Terra said the family she had found had shown her strength in loss: Tobi lost his identity, Juliette lost her husband and daughter, Greene lost his brother. “I will love you for the rest of my days.” Captain Barqs asked if she took Sophie. “Hell yeah I do.” Barqs pronounced them married, and Terra dip-kissed her wife. The party lifted the newlyweds into the air, while Elyon quietly studied people’s butts trying to figure out why anyone liked them.

Muscle Tower

The party returned to North City and prepared to assault Muscle Tower for the last orb. They cut one soldier in half in a closing portal (he mourned his “beautiful glutes”), and Recoome, who claimed he “rhymes with doom,” called his opponent a “dirty rat bird” and went down anyway. “No one dies like Recoome.”

Captain Ginyu, badly hurt, swapped bodies with Terra, leaving her laughing in his broken husk, but she won her body back. At the top, Commander Red said he would use the Star Orbs to live forever and “rule not just Arlia, but all planes of existence forever.” Then he revealed he was Isidar the Conqueror and became an ancient red dragon. “I am Isidar the Conqueror and with the Star Orbs that you have brought to me, I shall trespass into the domain of the gods!”

When Juliette couldn’t bring Sophie back, Terra ran with everything she had, leapt off the tower onto the flying dragon, and swung for Isidar’s head. He died, and Terra kept swinging long after.

Shenlong

With all seven Star Orbs, the party summoned Shenlong, and Juliette made the wish: “Revive all of those that were killed by the Rose Ribbon Army.” Across Arlia, everyone the army had killed came back. Greene, realizing Cyan was alive, told him, “I suspected for a while that I signed up for more than I bargained for, but I thought a good person could change things.” Barqs woke up in North City asking, “Where’s my bird boy?” The Rose Ribbon Army was gone.

Oolong had vanished. The Muffin Button pinged toward Elyon, and the Cacklers found his parting gifts with notes in perfect cursive. “I thought he couldn’t read.” Elyon got the Muffin Button and a note: “The hero who taught me flying is not just for birds.” Terra got a painting of her wedding and a key to the Collector’s Mansion. Juliette got two rings, one engraved “Juliette and Will” and one with “Reese” crossed out. Greene got a figurine of himself and Oolong with their arms around each other.

Epilogue

Ashryn sent a message from the Wyveren tree home: “What the hell happened? Is Elyon okay? Tell her I’m sorry.” Elyon answered, “She better be sorry. Little bitch. Tell me she said sorry.”

Terra asked Sophie, “what do I do with my life if I’m not fighting anything?” Sophie told her, “The strength that you’ve given has shaped this world, and the feats that you’ve accomplished are second to no one,” and convinced her to be better at building something than destroying it. They settled on turning the Collector’s mansion into a school.

Juliette took the portal home to Will and their three-year-old daughter, who ran into her arms. “Mommy, I missed you. Where were you? You were gone for hours.” Greene hugged everyone, took the helm of the Rootbeer Float, and set sail toward North City. Elyon cried and climbed onto her Flying Nimbus, which brushed against her leg like a cat.
