Ashryn is Elyon’s sister. She joined the Rose Ribbon Army to get revenge on Elyon, deserted it, died in Beerlia, and came back with Shenlong’s wish at the end of Campaign 1.
History
Ashryn first appeared as one of Fortuneteller Yaba’s trials, where Elyon had to fight her as someone from her past.
She had joined the Rose Ribbon Army in a misguided attempt at revenge on her sister. Once she saw the Army’s horrors and goals, she went AWOL after arriving in Beerlia. Through Max the Andalite, she reached the party and met them on the cliffs above a destroyed port city. She knew of a ship in the harbor they could use to escape the island.
The sisters traded some unpleasant words but slowly began to make amends and work together. As the party freed the Crew of the Rootbeer Float from the port jail, local soldiers ambushed them, and an assassin leapt from a roof and drove a poisoned blade into Ashryn’s back, killing her instantly. The killer was later revealed to be Mercenary Tao.
After Shenlong revived everyone the Rose Ribbon Army had killed, Ashryn sent a message from the Wyveren tree home: “What the hell happened?” and “Is Elyon okay? Tell her I’m sorry.” Elyon’s reply: “She better be sorry. Little bitch. Tell me she said sorry.”
