Quick facts
Race: Human · Family: Reverie Family; younger brother of Escher Reverie · Alias: Scorch · Status: Alive; on probation at CAGS; marked by the Pale Fang (as of C2 Session 83)
Fable Reverie is Escher’s younger brother. He grew up as the third and boldest member of the Reverie brothers’ prank trio and turned up in North City as a hired assassin called Scorch.
Background
Fable is two years younger than Escher. With Escher and their brother Lyric he made up a trio of pranksters on the family farm on Beerlia, and he was the biggest risk-taker of the three.
History
During Wilbur and Bulma’s dinner at the Cackler Barrel, Scorch ambushed Will Jr. in the hallway and killed him with a flame blade (Session 66). He went after Bulma next, smiling wildly. Bulma pinned him with a foam capsule, but he answered with a fireball that left her badly burned. The Cacklers arrived, Terra battered him, and everyone noticed he looked a lot like Escher. When Belle Pepper restored Escher’s lost memories, Escher recognized his brother and jumped between Fable and the Cacklers. Under questioning, Fable said a handler named Scuzz had hired him to kill Bulma, and that her business with the Velvet Truffle Company was a blight on the world (Session 67). Greene resurrected Will Jr.
Escher negotiated a probationary enrollment for Fable at CAGS (Session 68). Fable tried, without success, to flirt with Nelda and Ellery. When Scuzz caught up with the brothers after the Cell Games, Escher told him they were finished with the Pale Fang. Scuzz threw blinding powder in Fable’s eyes and escaped, leaving both brothers marked. A dazed Fable insisted that what he really wanted was to go to school and apply himself (Session 70). The FAM agreed he would be safest at the Academy.
