Quick facts
Campaign: Campaign 2 · Session: 26 of 83 · Arc: Curses, Sewers, and the Closing Ceremonies · Where: Saline Coast
Nelda met with Cedric Lightharbor Jr., who turned out not to be the fascist pig she had assumed. He was a pawn in his father’s political games, disliked politics himself, and promised not to reveal where they were hiding, hinting at a possible alliance. Meanwhile Wilbur, having found evidence of Tobias Blackwood’s treachery, printed 500 flyers for the public. Mayor Windrider cautiously approved them on the condition that he remove an unproven accusation against Captain Eric Stormshield. Wilbur signed the flyers “The Fellowship Against the Machine.”
The group met with the mayor, who reviewed the letters and contracts implicating Blackwood and agreed to issue full pardons and order the release of Nelda’s parents. She repeated that she would not seek re-election. Instead she planned to use the closing ceremonies of the festival to call for a special election, freeing the city from both her own candidacy and Cedric Lightharbor’s.
At the same time, Escher was contacted by The Whisper, who demanded the fate-changing artifact. The group tracked down the mortician, Victor, who after some persuasion from Nelda admitted to having it: a small black and purple chest. He handed it over and warned them not to open it. With the artifact in hand and a plan for the festival, the group prepared for the decisive moments of their fight for the Saline Coast.
