Kenton Rusk was the Velvet Truffle Company’s Cocoa Consul of Chonkerton and the husband of Sweet Lord Seraphina Rusk. Escher assassinated him for the Pale Fang.
History
At Hamhock Harbor in Session 39, Escher identified a high-ranking VTC member as his target and killed him with a poison-tipped arrow. He looted a ring that served as a company seal and two documents, which sent the party on to Buttermere.
In Buttermere, a Pale Fang contact confirmed the kill was a success but docked Escher’s pay for his “artless” methods (Session 41). Gravy Bones then boarded the party’s ship asking about the murder of a company employee named Kenton Rusk (Session 42).
Masha overheard aboard a VTC prison ship that Kenton had been killed. When she mentioned it in Session 80, Escher admitted to the party that he had done it, and that the Pale Fang had wanted Kenton specifically, along with his ring.
His widow is hunting Escher. His fellow Sweet Lord Cadbury Vex remarked that Kenton had been a bore anyway.
