Role: Collector of rare books · Home: Cherudo Beach · Assistant: Karita · Status: Alive (last seen late in Campaign 1)

Raviki is a powerful spellcaster in Cherudo Beach who kept a vault of valuable books she thought too precious for the public. The Cacklers robbed her, and in doing so exposed her plan to sell out her city.

History

The vault

The librarian of Cherudo Beach told Elyon that the Manual of Quickness and Action was in the city, kept in Raviki’s vault. The party decided to steal it by walking in during the day as if they were there to “prepare for Raviki’s arrival.” Two amber-colored androids with sewn-together bodies, numbered six and seven, guarded the doors. Elyon stepped on a creaky stair, and Raviki’s assistant Karita came out yelling and ran.

Greene grabbed a book and a staff from Raviki’s desk, which set off an arcane circle. Raviki stepped out of it: “Well, well, well. My alarm wasn’t kidding. We do have visitors.” She sealed the vault door and gave them a choice: “You can put my stuff down and live to see tomorrow or Well, you know what the second choice is.” Greene put the items down, changed his mind, grabbed them again and flew for the window.

Raviki struck Oolong with a withering spell, scolded her guards for letting “pitiful Voe” into the city, and chased the party into the air, shouting “Give me back my fucking stuff” as she fired death lances at Oolong. Greene rescued Oolong. As the party fled, Elyon set Raviki on fire with a fireball, and Greene threw his Power Pole into the back of her head, pinning her to the ground as the guards arrived.

The treason

Among the stolen manuals, the party found documents detailing negotiations between Raviki and Sergeant Saffron of the Rose Ribbon Army: a plan to hand Cherudo Beach over to the Army “to use as a port onto the western continent.” The Cacklers used this to persuade Karita to tell the city that she had broken in because she suspected Raviki of treason.
