Quick facts
Role: Enchantress, specialist in permanent magical bindings · Home: A hut at a remote coastal cave near the Saline Coast · Status: Dead (killed by Kip, C2 Session 58)
Veshka Knoteater was a reclusive enchantress who made permanent magical bindings. Kip went to her to end his marriage to Alana Elmheart, and ended it by killing her.
History
In Session 57, Kip and Alana, with Wilbur, went to a secluded hut on the coast to ask the Enchantress for a magical annulment. They saw an unnaturally fast shadow moving behind the glass before the door creaked open on a figure with spindly fingers, who greeted them by asking whether things were “wet.”
Inside (Session 58), Veshka refused a simple annulment. The only ways to break her enchantments, she said, were a new and more restrictive agreement or her own death. When talks broke down, she trapped them in the cave with a stinking cloud. Ellery arrived in time to join the fight and helped Kip land the final blow with his staff, which killed the enchantress and dissolved the marriage bond.
The party later looted her magical belongings.
