The Last Drop is a rugged tavern on the edge of the Salt Desert. The FAM stopped there on the way south from the Saline Coast, and it is where Eldon Reed showed his true form.
History
An owlbear on the road forced the party to move carefully until they reached the tavern (Session 16). Wilbur paid the bartender a few gold to look after the sick Steve, then overheard that the donkey would be gotten rid of as soon as the party left.
Then a towering figure walked in, and Wilbur recognized Eldon. Escher, invisible, found that Eldon was hiding a monstrous eight-foot-ten half-orc form behind a disguise spell. Eldon told Wilbur, “I’ll make sure they remember you, Wilbur. Every last scream,” and turned to leave. Wilbur attacked him.
The fight that followed turned against the party. The Bloodhowler brought Wilbur down, killed Squeebles and struck down Nelda before Nodur’s illusory cloud giant and Wilbur’s laser pistol gave the party an opening to escape to the Saiyan Compound (Session 17). Later Nappa found Steve alive at the abandoned tavern and brought him back (Session 18).
