The Collector’s mansion in North City housed The Collector’s famous collection of magical items, along with a Star Orb room, his office, and the cells where he kept captives.
The collection
The prize for winning the Greatest Below the Heavens tournament was a pick from the Collector’s collection. When Elyon went to choose hers, she and the Collector found Oolong already inside, fighting an automaton in the room holding a Star Orb. In his office, the Collector revealed that Oolong had originally been meant for the collection, and there he made the bargain that bound Terra Misu Umber to his service in place of Sophie (C1 Chapter 06).
When the Cacklers came for the Collector, they snuck into a side room of the mansion. He was expecting them, and a portal carried them to a hellscape of smoke and lava where they finally killed him (C1 Chapter 08).
The kenku cells
After the Collector’s death, Oolong tried to walk in disguised as him, but the mansion’s security knew its owner had been dead for seven days. Two Cybermen and a Dalek guarded the place. Past them, the Star Orb room stood empty, and a wall held the Culinary Buttons: tea, bacon, fruit, buttered roll, cheese, sauce, and rum. Behind another door, a long hall of identical cells held hundreds of starving kenku, brought from an island off the coast of the Republic of Choco Island. Oolong freed every one of them (C1 Chapter 10).
The next morning an adult white dragon of the Rose Ribbon Army perched on the mansion’s roof during the occupation of the city.
Later
A portrait in the mansion served as a doorway to The FeyWild, which Terra and Sophie used (C1 Chapter 11). In his parting gifts, Oolong left Terra a key to the mansion, and at the campaign’s end Terra and Sophie decided to turn it into a school (C1 Chapter 14). See CAGS.
