Quick facts

Type: Secret cult · Base: Green Hollow and the ruins of the Temple of Cyrollellee · Patron: Brandoboris · Leader: Sawyer Elmheart (dead) · Status: Broken (Session 56)

The Cult of Brandoboris was a secret circle of halfling cultists in Green Hollow, led by Sawyer Elmheart, who worshiped the trickster god Brandoboris instead of the town’s goddess, Cyrollellee.

History

The cult turned the ruins of the old temple of Cyrollellee into a site for its gatherings. Its members wielded eldritch magic. Sawyer grew Ghostpetal Turnipbloom on a hidden parcel of his farm and shipped it, through Judge Marius Vellum, to the Velvet Truffle Company.

When the FAM fought Sawyer and his cultists in the Farmer’s Hoe, time glitched, and the cultists vanished, leaving only severed bloody left hands where they had stood (Session 52). In the temple four halfling cultists, Pella, Tibbon, Brindle and Hob, ambushed the party with eldritch blasts. Ellery killed Tibbon, Nelda blinded Hob, and in a time blip Brandoboris appeared, laughed at his failing followers and vanished. The party spared Pella, who told them Sawyer was hiding behind a magically sealed color-puzzle door (Session 53). Sawyer died when Cyrollellee drove Brandoboris away (Session 54).

The party recaptured Pella and used her as bait for the Judge. Escher and Wilbur killed her with a concealed crossbow and staged the scene as a falling-out, with a forged letter from Sawyer suggesting betrayal from within (Sessions 55–56).
